Prior to opening Steppin' Out at the age of 23, Amy had danced across the united states, including four tours with Danny Hoctor’s Dance Caravan. She has performed in New York, New Jersey, Las Vegas, Disney World, Disney Land, Chicago, Seattle, and elsewhere, and has studied and performed with leading choreographers in the industry such as three time Tony Award Winner Thommie Walsh, Scott Benson, Barry Youngblood, Joe Tremaine, Mia Michaels and Jackie Sleight. Amy was the official choreographer for the Miss South Carolina pageant for four years. She opened her doors in 1993 with 84 students, and Steppin' Out has flourished and grown to accommodate nearly 500 students. In 2021, Amy founded what is now Anderson Dance Alliance which produces Anderson's annual production of The Nutcracker. She also opened Flippin' Out Cheer & Tumble in the summer of 2022.
Melissa Eaton is lifetime tumbler and can be seen flipping in advanced classes as Flipping Out’s only adult tumbler! She coached for five years under Jon Williams, US Trampoline & Tumbling Association 2021 Presidential Coach of the Year, where she learned the importance of basic skill development for toddlers, pre-K, and beginners. A mom of four and foster mom for 14 years, Melissa enjoys working with children and their families, sharing the sense of pride their athlete feels when they reach new heights.
Kaila Gamaldo competed at Gymnastics Unlimited in Jacksonville, Florida. She was level 9 (2015 to 2018 Eastern Qualifier) and level 10 (2018 Regional Qualifier) her senior year of High School. Currently she's attending Limestone University and competes with the acrobatics and tumbling team. She helped her team win conference with an undefeated season of 11-0 and also qualified to nationals as a team.. Formerly coached at Gymnastics Unlimited in Jacksonville FL and Port City Gymnastics in Wilmington, NC.
Nikki Collins Holmes has lived to tumble since the age of 7. Early in her career, she captured the State Championship Title for Level 5 AND Level 6. By age 10, Nikki earned numerous Level 8 regionals and placed overall on several South Carolina state events. She was trained by the best in the upstate: Robert Williamson, Tina Brown, and Shawn Smolen, to name a few.
Eventually transitioning to coaching, Nikki has has carried her passion for gymnastics through 20 years of coaching at Electric City Gymnastics, Greenville Gymnastics, Palmetto Cheer & Tumble, and Palmetto Athletic Center.
Susie Stack has a 13-year background in competitive gymnastics. She has coached gymnastics since early 2020 at Carolina Gymnastics Center. She has coached multiple levels and age groups from preschool to the competition team. Susie is studying kinesiology at Anderson University. She’s OSHA and CPR certified and is knowledgeable in many injuries and how to prevent them, especially in tumbling. Susie is also certified in safe sport policies and safety/risk management through USA Gymnastics.
Coach Ziggy Scipio comes to us all the way from New York, bringing along with him over 20 years experience in gymnastics, tumble, sports medicine and mechanics. Ziggy is a USAG Gymnastics Instructor. He is certified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, NASE (Speed Specialist), and he is Corrective Exercise Specialist certified. He has also earned a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and Rehabilitation. Ziggy also is certified in Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED.
Debrica Webster cheered in elementary, middle, and high School at Seneca High. She coached competitive Cheerleading for two years with Young Champions of America in Charlotte, where during her first year, both of her teams took home a first-place trophy. Debrica currently resides in Anderson with her husband and two children who are now both in college. Debrica is also the owner and Broker in Charge of Debrica Webster Realty, LLC in Anderson.
